Board a private boat at Adikeshav Ghat — the peaceful northernmost ghat of Varanasi, where the Varuna river meets the Ganga.
Adikeshav Ghat is the northernmost of Varanasi's ghats, at the point where the Varuna river joins the Ganga — the "Varuna" half of the name Varanasi. The ghat is named after the Adi Keshava temple of Lord Vishnu, regarded as one of the oldest sacred sites in the city.
Far from the crowds of the central ghats, Adikeshav is a calm place to start a boat ride. With the Malviya Bridge just upstream, it's a favourite with photographers and with couples planning a photoshoot on a boat. From here a boat can cover the entire riverfront heading south.
See the confluence of the Varuna and the Ganga.
One of the oldest Vishnu shrines in Varanasi.
Great angles for sunrise and photoshoots.
A quieter boarding point than the central ghats.
Every boat is private — booked only for your group. Choose the boat that fits your group size and budget; we confirm availability at Adikeshav Ghat for your date on WhatsApp.
