Varanasi 2 Days Itinerary

With two days you can see Varanasi from the river at both sunrise and sunset, visit the main temples and still have time for Sarnath.

Day 1: Ghats, Temples & Ganga Aarti

• Morning: Sunrise boat ride from Assi Ghat after Subah-e-Banaras.
• Late morning: Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the old lanes.
• Afternoon: Walk the ghats from Dashashwamedh to Manikarnika (respectfully).
• Evening: Ganga Aarti from a private boat.

Day 2: Sarnath, Ramnagar & 84 Ghats

• Morning: Sarnath — Dhamek Stupa and the museum (about 10 km).
• Afternoon: Ramnagar Fort across the river.
• Evening: 84 ghats boat tour or the calmer Assi Ghat Aarti.

Tips

• Stay near Assi or Dashashwamedh to walk to the ghats.
• Book Aarti boats a day ahead, especially on weekends.
• Check Aarti timings for your month.
